National Association of Conservation Districts
National Association of Conservation Districts
Much like the KACD is your voice at the state level, your National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) is America’s voice for natural resource conservation. Formed in 1946 NACD represents the interests of 3,000 conservation districts in all 50 states and U.S. territories at the U.S. Congress, federal agencies, etc. The NACD is supported by member dues with a principal office in Washington D.C.
The NACD Board of Directors includes a representative from all states and provinces. As a result, the KACD elects an individual to serve as the representative to NACD. This individual represents Kentucky in discussions of national policy development.
